We have an exciting opportunity for an articulate, creative and enthusiastic team player to join The Hole Team.
We are looking for an experienced associate to work in our welding and fabrication department that will be performing functions including welding, cutting and operating shop equipment to fulfill customer order requirements in a safe and error free manner.
STRONG TIG WELDING SKILLS ARE A MUST! ALSO NEED TO HAVE
MIG WELDING EXPERIENCE!
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a high attention to safety, quality, and productivity in the welding/fabrication area
·
Fit up, TIG AND MIG welding, sawing, cutting, and grinding on McNichols products such as stair treads and bar grating walk ways
·
Safely operate forklifts, other lift equipment and /or cranes to move material as required.(Equipment my vary by branch)
·
Safely operate shop equipment such as band saws, iron workers, and drill presses
·
Process material by following instructions on work orders and shop drawings and verify material and work for accuracy
·
Prepare and process all paperwork necessary to complete orders

Maintain schedule and assure on time shipment of orders based on customer expectations

Order and maintain necessary levels of shop and welding supplies
*
Maintain equipment by following required preventative maintenance schedules and documenting tasks
·
Observe safety procedures, assure self and others safety and report any safety issues
·
Properly stack processed material and pack as required in preparation for shipping.
·
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Ideal candidate profile:
* Experience using MIG welding process. TIG and/or spot welding experience a plus (Depending on branch)
* Must be able to certify
on plain steel and stainless steel (2F and 3F positions, ¼ thick) Aluminum as required
* Must be capable of machine setup including proper wire speed, voltage, and gas flow
* Ability to safely use and operate shop tools and equipment such as torches, band saws, iron workers and drill presses
* Capable of following written instructions and interpret shop drawings
* Able to work in a physically demanding environment including working on your feet for extended periods of time, lifting material weighing up to 50 pounds and working in hot or cold conditions
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Capable of following required safety procedures including OSHA standards such as lock-out/tag-out and incident reporting
* Ability to work independently in a production oriented environment and perform against established performance standards
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to prioritize, organize and multi task
* Self-starter with a willingness to learn
* Basic computer skills
* 5S / Lean knowledge a plus
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Must be able to work overtime as required
